Circle Urban Ministries is located in the heart of Chicago’s westside, where youth face some of the hardest statistics in the country with regard to murder, gang violence, drug abuse, and high school drop-out rates. Once a year, all Circle students join together and perform a program they call “Summertime,” which allows them the opportunity to rehearse for months in a safe environment, and also experience teamwork and the thrill of working toward a quality common goal.
We pitched a branding concept to the Circle Urban leadership team, which included a youthful, urban pallet with bright colors and city images. After developing posters for local businesses to display, calling many churches and businesses to consider sponsorship, and developing a website landing page, we ran several campaigns. The most noteworthy was the video promotion, shown above, which attributed to excellent event attendance – and ultimately raising over $7K in less than two hours for these deserving kids.
